The culturally-enriched Danish town of Kokkedal has decided not to fund the town’s traditional Christmas tree this year, even though it spent lavishly on a recent Eid festival. Journalists who came to cover the story were called racists, and had their van pelted with bottles and cobblestones.

In other news, the Japanese government warns that the country is heading into a severe recession. Meanwhile, immigrant children in Sweden are increasingly faking mental illness to avoid deportation.
