In a series of raids all across France, police arrested twelve suspected Islamic terrorists who are thought to be associated with the man who was killed in a shootout with police over the weekend. Bomb-making materials were found in the garage of one of the suspects, along with details on potential Jewish targets in France.
In other news, six Afghan policemen were killed and one was injured when a terrorist bomb they were attempting to defuse exploded.
Meanwhile, the United States is sending troops to Jordan to help the Jordanians construct a military base on the Syrian border, which may be needed if the civil war in Syria were to spill over into Jordan.
