The Swiss army has prepared contingency plans for the possibility that the economic crisis in Europe may lead to trouble on the borders of Switzerland. Possible scenarios involve a mass influx of refugees into the country, or riots and violence in neighboring countries that spill over the Swiss border.

In other news, with the United States now out of Iraq, Russia has emerged as a major arms supplier for the Iraqi military, second only to the USA.
